I don’t know if I want to write about what is happening in Europe. Every day I read the news on the Internet, and I cannot believe there is a war in Ukraine, when I see in pictures destroyed cities and terrible images of smoking buildings, plus a lot of refugees in other European countries, especially in Poland.

Everything seems to indicate Ukraine is going to be totally shattered by Russian artillery. I curse such destruction, and I know that whoever is doing such a damage will pay for it, be it in war reparations (1) or in any other way; because it is not acceptable a politician insists on making his country bigger invading another one with impunity. We have gone back in history.

In the 19th century this did happen, but in the 21st century this is inconceivable. However, a paranoid Russian leader wants Ukrainians to surrender to him, and I am sure they will not do so, even if they all die defending their country.

There is talk that England is going to send arms. Also, that the United States will give more lethal war materiel to Ukraine, though without an open NATO confrontation against Russia.

In the meantime, while dozens of Ukrainians are dying, all Western countries are implementing economic measures to make Russia realize it cannot pay…
